The Making Of Wood Acres

Visit us at the farm, any season, any reason.

Our History

Wood Acres Farm has been family owned and operated since the mid 1800's. What began as a fruit and poultry farm was later used as a 'training camp' for horses used with carriages on the island of Bermuda. In 1972, Ken Wood inherited the farm and with his years of experience working with horses, began a successful horse and carriage service. In 1986, his wife Joyce and he began transforming the farm, spending numerous years turning the old horse barn and surrounding grounds into a beautiful haven to host your Country Wedding! The Wood Family and staff carry on the process of transforming the farm each year, enhancing weddings, hosting gatherings, offering carriage, wagon and sleigh rides to people of all ages!
